IK BIBLE SCHOOL IN THE CHURCH (in English)

MULTIFORM LEARNING

>>> Study the Bible in your local church - in English!

IK Bible School in the Church offers you the same courses that are taught at IK College. In practice, IK Bible School in the Church consists of multiform learning, i.e., a combination of classroom teaching at the IK College campus and online teaching.

Each course includes one classroom teaching period at the IK College campus in Keuruu or Helsinki. It lasts for two days. In addition, ten online lessons will be taught by an IK College teacher in a local church. Those meetings are led by a local facilitator on weekday evenings. The meeting lasts two hours and includes a one-hour online lesson and two 30-minute discussion sessions before and after the lecture.

IK Bible School is suitable for anyone who wants to strengthen their knowledge of the Bible and their Christian worldview. You can audit the courses, i.e., be present at the lessons without doing any of the assignments, or you can perform the courses for credit, i.e., complete the assignments, which will be graded by IK teachers.

Why study at IK Bible School in the church?

  • Deepen your understanding of the Bible

  • Cultivate a Christian worldview

  • Learn to communicate your faith

  • Improve your English

  • Get to know local Christians

Address: Pulttitie 13, Helsinki

IK College in Helsinki - also known as “IK Helsinki” - is located in the Fida International building in the Roihupelto industrial area, about 1,5 km from Itäkeskus. The address is Pulttitie 13 (NOTE: on a different street than Fida's main door). The campus is easily accessible by public transport. The nearest metro station is in Siilitie (see here for the most direct walking route from Siilitie station to the college). See the transport connections in HSL's route guide (www.reittiopas.fi). There is a free parking space on Pulttitie in the evenings and on weekends. There are also two free parking areas nearby (Laippatie 12 and Tulppatie 5).

The IK college entrance looks like this. Please note that the school's front door is generally locked. You can get in by ringing the buzzer of the IK college, which is connected to the door phone. In weekend courses, the buzzer is in use a half hour before the start of the course. If the buzzer does not work for some reason, you can also call the door phone number +358407500742. If you arrive earlier than this, please inform the teacher.
